My name is Ingela Teppy Flatin. I was born in Chicago, U.S.A., and spent most of my first five years in Seattle before my family moved to Norway. I later returned to the U.S. to study for my B.A. in philosophy before taking my M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Agriculture at the Norwegian Agricultural University (now: Norwegian University of Life Sciences, NMBU). I have worked as a high school teacher in Norway, a student coordinator at NMBU, and as a research coordinator, English teacher, and local representative for The Network for University Cooperation Tibet-Norway in Lhasa, Tibet. Today I mostly work as a translator, copyeditor, and proofreader in the Norwegian publishing industry. I soon hope to be a published author myself as my book is underway.
